A brief presentation of Waldorf Education, presented by The Waldorf School of Lexington.
The celebration of Michaelmas (Mik’-el-mas) commemorates the archetype of the Archangel Michael. With his help, this time of year we can focus on taming our inner "dragons" of fear and despair with light, courage and strength. Our school offers a celebration of the festival of Michaelmas with a play in which all the grades have a part to play, followed by games of courage and strength, with time for picnicking after.
This video was produced by the Council for American Private Education (CAPE) in their advocacy for private schools. Waldorf Schools are indepenendent, non-denominational schools that nurture the whole child.
The first video to come out of the EWS DVD project: a beautiful "moving picture" of the children and the school.
