Specialty Subjects

Special subjects complement the work of class teacher:

Eurythmy

This art of movement is experienced with speech, poetry and music.

Class Projects

Building projects, class plays and class trips provide times of working, learning and playing together.

Handwork, woodwork, and modeling

Knitting, crocheting, sewing, embroidery, clay or wax modeling, and woodworking strengthen the fine motor and concentration skills.

Second Language

Spanish is taught from first through eighth grade.

Movement Education

Games and movement, preferably outside, are an integral part of Walforf education.

Music

Vocal and instrumental music play a major role in each day and include singing, recorders, strings instruction, orchestra, and choir.

Remedial Support Program

Individual tutors work to remove obstacles to learning through extra lessons, therapeutic Eurythmy, and movement exercises.
