First Grade Assistant
The Eugene Waldorf School is hiring for a First Grade Assistant for the 25-26 school year. This is a part-time hourly position. The weekly hours are expected to be around 25, but the schedule is still being determined. It will primarily be a morning schedule beginning at 8:15 am daily. In addition to hourly compensation, employees receive a retirement plan with 2% employer contribution, tuition remission for dependents and professional development funds (both based on full-time equivalency status). The Assistant Teacher will primarily assist during main lesson and other classes as needed. This position would be the Lead Substitute Teacher for first grade when needed. The ideal candidate will have a Waldorf Teaching Certificate, and experience working with young children (preferably in a Waldorf school). Enrollment & Outreach Coordinator
The Eugene Waldorf School is seeking an Enrollment & Outreach Coordinator. This position oversees and coordinates the recruitment, enrollment, and retention of students across all programs offered at the school. This position plans and represents the school at outreach events including open houses, workshops, social media presence, and information tables at local festivals and events to deepen community understanding of Waldorf education and attract new families to the school. This position maintains alumni relations in our school database and through invitations to participate in school events and through our website alumni page.
The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of Waldorf education and be able to effectively and warmly communicate that to others. Other desired skills or qualities include: Strong written and verbal communication skills; highly organized and detail oriented; strong computer skills and the ability to learn new things quickly; ability to be outgoing and personable; a background in marketing, sales, or public relations; and knowledge of graphic design software. A willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team using a consensus-based decision making process and a strong commitment to personal growth and responsibility is essential.
This is a part time position (0.8 FTE/32 hours per week). The start date and schedule are TBD. A bachelor’s degree and/or Waldorf training is preferred. Applicants must have the ability to pass a fingerprinted background check through the Oregon Central Background Registry and to obtain first aid/cpr certification upon hire. Salary depends on education and experience. Strings Teacher
The Eugene Waldorf School is seeking a warm and enthusiastic String Orchestra Instructor to teach our 4th - 8th grade classes for the 2025-26 school year. The position is part-time (around 17 hours per week). Applicants must have the ability to play violin, viola, and cello at an intermediate level or higher and have experience rehearsing student string ensembles. Commitment to excellence in teaching, self-development, and collegial cooperation are required. The applicant must have experience creating developmentally appropriate strings curriculum for 4th - 8th grade students.
A bachelor’s degree in music and Waldorf teacher certification and/or experience preferred. Applicants must have the ability to pass a fingerprinted background check through the Oregon Central Background Registry and to obtain first aid/cpr certification upon hire.
