Second Grade Assistant
The Eugene Waldorf School is hiring a part time temporary Second Grade Assistant for the 25-26 school year. The position term is expected to be August 25 - December 19, 2025. The exact hourly pay depends on education and experience, but an estimated range is $16.38 - $20.00 per hour. The weekly hours are expected to be around 18. The exact schedule will be determined between the assistant and the lead teacher but is tentatively from 8:10 am - 11:15 am Monday through Friday plus weekly meetings. The Assistant Teacher will primarily assist during main lesson periods and other classes as needed. The Assistant Teacher would be the Lead Substitute Teacher for second grade when needed. The ideal candidate would have a Waldorf Teaching Certificate (or be working towards one), and experience working with young children (preferably in a Waldorf school). Administrative Assistant
EWS is seeking an Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant is an important member of the Administrative Team which provides administrative support primarily focusing on the school office and business office and works cooperatively with the Administration Team on a variety of tasks and projects. This is an hourly position and typically works August-June.
Applicants must have the ability to pass a fingerprinted background check through the Oregon Central Background Registry and to obtain first aid/cpr certification upon hire. professional development funds, paid sick and personal days. Preferred educations and experience include:
Bachelor’s degree is desirable
School office experience or other office experience preferred
Strong data entry and computer skills essential
Requirements of this position include:
Background check clearance through the Oregon Background Registry
Pediatric First Aid & CPR training
Ability to work and communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
Ability to multitask and work with frequent interruptions
Proficiency in sending and receiving emails using Gmail
Knowledge of, or ability to learn, various work-related computer programs (Google Workspace, Ravenna school database, Gusto payroll software, etc.)
Attendance at all announced in-service training sessions (typically the last week of August, one week during February break, and the week after school ends in mid-June)
Training may include but is not limited to: Trauma-Sensitive Schools, Restorative Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion, Waldorf conferences/workshops, early childhood-focused training, health and safety, and other school-offered training throughout the year
